Privacy Notice

This notice describes the information connected with use of El Paso County Released Inmates, how that information may be used, and the choices available to visitors. It also explains the role of outside search, analytics, and advertising providers. The practices here apply to this private site, not to EPCSO, TDCJ, courts, federal agencies, or any government portal reached through a link.

Information You Submit

Search Terms

A name, place, or other term entered in a search tool is sent to the third-party company operating that tool. We do not store or log those search terms on our own systems.

Messages

If you send an email or contact-form message, we retain it as needed to respond. We do not share the message outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Automatic Technical Data

Ordinary web systems may record an IP address, browser and version, device type, operating system, pages visited, time spent on pages, referring site, and date and time stamps.

Cookie Controls

Cookies help measure how visitors use the site. A browser can reject or remove them, though blocking cookies may cause some site or partner features to work differently.

How Information Is Used

  • Operate the site and maintain performance.
  • Send a search request to the selected partner service.
  • Understand which pages are useful.
  • Identify and correct technical faults.
  • Display advertising that may reflect a visitor's interests.

Links Beyond This Site

Links lead to El Paso County records, sheriff and corrections pages, government portals, and outside search tools. Once a visitor leaves, the destination's own privacy notice governs its collection and use of data.

Some advertising companies may use their systems to measure activity across multiple websites and tailor ads. That tracking is performed on their platforms, not in a record database maintained by this site.

Who May Receive Data

We do not sell personal information. Data may be handled by search partners processing a query, analytics providers measuring site use, advertising networks delivering ads, or law-enforcement and government bodies acting under a valid subpoena, court order, or other lawful demand.

Reasonable Security Measures

We use standard safeguards appropriate for a public website. No internet transmission, connected service, or storage system can be guaranteed secure, so we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.

Visitors Under Eighteen

This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted personal data may use Contact Us to request deletion.

Your Privacy Choices

Subject to applicable law and our ability to verify a request, a person may ask for a copy of personal data we hold, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, or an opt-out from certain processing. Texas Government Code Chapter 552 governs public records held by Texas government bodies, but it does not convert this private site into a government record custodian. Requests about an official record must go to the agency that holds it.

Changes to This Notice

We may revise this notice as practices or legal duties change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
